Yes it has, it's an LCD monitor TV nakalagay sa sticker
sabi ng iba mababa daw contast ratio nito 1000:1 only unlike other known brands na 5000:1 or even 10,000:1 giving better and brighter colors? I'm not sure about this but this is just what I've read before hehehe

Anyway, mura talaga sya for an LCD TV

guys alam niyo ba yung samsung 2333hd 23" LCD TV?? i think this is a good contender kasi nakatag siya ng $279 so around 13K petot..full HD na siya at 1080p. kung available ito locally and nasa 12K-13K price e ito na lang kukunin ko kesa sa ovation binasa ko uli yung reviews sa TPC link na prinovide ko and i stumbled upon this model na mentioned ng 1 of the posters. baka sakali meron pa kung wala e baka ovation na nga ako though i'm still having 2nd thoughts..

Hands-on review of the Ovation 22" LCD TV

Ok i got this baby yesterday for 10.3K tops. first impression, china-made. the exterior isn't that elegant to look at compared to the AOC 2217PWC 22" LCD monitor (which is cool to the eyes imo) that i got for the media center rig ng living room namin last dec '08. everything about the build is dull plasticky, though it is a tiny bit slimmer and lighter than the AOC. even the brand name and model print are ugly to look at imo. the display quality via DVI is ok, color quality is almost at par with the AOC (but i'm pretty sure it's tad a lot lower compared to branded LCD monitors, though if you're a noobie when it comes to LCD displays like myself then you won't really feel/see the difference sa display quality). not tested it via vga since di naman gagamitin. TV quality (depending sa cable company(?) is so-so, cheap output for a cheap price. changing channels will need a little getting used to since there is a waiting period of 1-2 seconds before the channel will switch to the next or previous one (same goes with the mode selection e.g. dvi, vga, tv, a/v). A/V quality (tested with my Phat PS2; DBZ Budokai 2) is a nightmare. display is a bit blurred and some colors (green & blue) produce this wiggly, dancing light pattern that is hard to describe and gave me a slight headache (not friendly on the eyes); not yet tested with a dvd player but i'm guessing the output quality will just be the same, if not, probably only a bit better than the PS2. Loudness is ok while sound quality is so-so with the full absence bass. well i guess that's it. if you're a tipid guy/girl looking for a cheapo alternative sa mga mahal na LCD TV then this one is for you, but if you're more into monitor usage and eye-candy then don't bother with this one. hope this mediocre review helps cheers! personally ok na sa akin ito since ok naman monitor quality niya and sa bedroom ko lang naman nakalagay, di naman ako gano nagttv pero bonus na rin na pwede ako watch without having to turn on the cpu while lying on my bed

how about HDMI source and connecting it thru DVI (via HDMI to DVI cable) will it produce good quality output or will it even work at all?
Saliva causes cancer, but only if swallowed in small amounts over a long period of time

di naman kala ko nga defective kasi kanina install ako OS bigla namatay both CPU and monitor tapos nagbliblink in a sick way yung main switch ng monitor. yun pala yung avr ko may topak strangely though..naapreciate ko na siya parang gusto ko bawiin mga sinabi ko sa review about ugliness haha..siguro di ko lang binigyan ng chance na kunin ng ovation ang puso ko madilim kasi kagabi try ko mamaya sa DVD player kung matino output . di ko na try S-video la naman gumagamit nun e

1050p max reso niya so di abot sa true HD na 1080p :p pero HD pa rin siya kasi sakop pa rin ng 720p (pls correct me if i'm wrong na lang noobie kasi ako sa HD hehe )

wala ata if you like ng cheapo na 32" try mo yung binebenta nila na protech 32" LCD TV (full HD daw with 1080p reso) sa makro pampanga tag price is P19,999.00

uy may thead (or post?) ako about that i think si sir ronnieG nagreply na same lang quality ng DVI and HDMI kasi the only difference is that HDMI carries both audio and video while DVI is video only

    --------------------------------------

    --------------------------------------

Up ko lang, ok na remote battery nga problem i'm starting to enjoy my LCD TV watch ako kagabi habang nagDDL PC

    hi there, guys

i also bought an ovation 22" lcd monitor tv last january 15 and i'm fully satisfied with it. got it for 10.5k with 2 years shop warranty and a 1-week replacement period. while the people in the store where i got it never convincingly answered my inquiries re the unit, i got a good input from a co-member in a pc enthusiasts website who bought his own last december 2008. and so he gave me the link to the shop where he got it.

upon inquiry over the phone, i was not really convinced on the info given to me. my first inquiry was where is the item made? then how long is the shop warranty? and lastly, where is the service center? nonetheless, for a 22" lcd monitor tv pegged at 10.5k, i think it was a good bargain. fascinated by the sharpness and vivid colors of branded lcd tv's at every appliance store in several malls, my wife & i decided to buy the ovation lcd tv the same day i inquired because there were only 2 units left.

when i saw the unit, i agree that it was not quite appealing in terms of aesthetic aspect. then they tested the tv mode via reception thru antenna and hooked it to the pc for the vga mode. in the tv mode, signal reception was a bit bad but since we have cable tv, i thought that reception might be better. in the vga mode, display was superb.

when we got home, i cannot hold my excitement to test it via cable tv & my amd dual core pc using a geforce 5500 video card. i was kinda disappointed with the signal quality of the cable company but overall, the ovation lcd tv made a good run for the small amount of money we shelled out. with my pc, i was really happy with the clarity, vividness and sharpness of the display. i think it's because i've been using a crt monitor for more than a decade now so the remarkable difference between the two can be noted. when in vga mode, it automatically adjusts for optimal display. i have not tested it using av via dvd player or dvi or s-video yet.

the one thing not good about it is the quality of the sound because it sounds like tin can. so to make the sound better, i connected it to my 72-watt rms labtec 2.1 speaker system and guess what...it really rocks. for one to appreciate the unit fully, a good sound system must be connected via the audio out plug...picture this : panoramic/widescreen view, superb display, dark room, chest-pounding speaker system, popcorn w/ delicious drink and your loved one beside you...what else can you ask for.

as additional info, the fact that it has a pal/secam connector made me wonder as to where is it really made. we have a 29" inch toshiba using the same connector and it was imported from a european country. the info given to me was at the shop is that ovation units are either china-made or taiwan-made. the fact that there was no mention of the manufacturing place at the back of the lcd or at the manual increased my curiousity to research more. finally, i got this info at this link - http://www.atikom.co.id/products.asp...l,ovation,main.

in sum, the best thing about the ovation lcd tv is it's quality to price ratio. i am sure you won't get disappointed with it.

i hope this helps. thanks for reading.

upon inquiry over the phone, i was not really convinced on the info given to me. my first inquiry was where is the item made? then how long is the shop warranty? and lastly, where is the service center? nonetheless, for a 22" lcd monitor tv pegged at 10.5k, i think it was a good bargain. fascinated by the sharpness and vivid colors of branded lcd tv's at every appliance store in several malls, my wife & i decided to buy the ovation lcd tv the same day i inquired because there were only 2 units left.
